did some 花見 yesterday..

a group of us, went to a park next to Uozu Aquarium. equipped with drinks (the alcoholic variety, of course) and food, we hung out under the cherry blossom trees eating shit. fun was had. it did, however, get very chilly as the sun went down.

i decided to break from the group early, so i drank my last chu-hi and headed home. as it turns out, after i was gone, my group was invited by a big japanese group having a picnic close by. this japanese group had music, hot food and, most important, hot sake!

i can only imagine what crazy antics people got to when they were drunk and warm. but i'm sure that everyone enjoyed themselves.

"it's friday! time to go out tonight and have some drinks!" is what i would say if i didn't have to work tomorrow. i gotta be in the office by 8. don't really know why. i think the PTA is gonna observe some classes. BASTARDS! if you wanna observe how the school is running why not come on a normal school day!

Back in Japan after about 11 days in home... well about 2 actual days at home.. the rest of those days were spent in the Dominican Republic...

That trip was, hmmm, i don't have the words to describe it. We stayed at my aunts house. In the D.R. the power infrastructure isn't like it is in the US or Japan, so the power would go out once or twice a day for hours on end. Luckily the house had a generator so it wasn't too bad. What really sucked was the f*&king mosquitoes. They bit me all over.

Funny thing about living in Japan for the past 8 months. I got really used to the quiet. In the D.R. there is no such thing as quiet. There was music blaring out of some place all day... people were driving around with big ass speakers attached to their cars and just blasting the music. There was one night, the night of the block party, when the music was playing till 3 in the morning. I'm talking about wall-shaking loud-ass regeton.

And driving... shit. People drive craaaazy. Here we are stopped at the red light and every other car is driving right thru it. When I asked my cousin what's going on, she said, "no one pays attention to this light." I thought I would die quite a few times.

I only got to spend about 2 days in Miami. I didn't have much time to do anything or to meet up with all of my friends. I also got some bad news from my family.

There's more, but this is all i can stand to talk about now.
I'm happy to be back. My trip home did help me realize that I need to get on with my life. I need to start thinking about what i wanna do after i finish with jet. I need to start looking for another job.
