Its about 2:45 am. I've been dozing on and off but haven't been able to sleep. My g/f woke up this morning feeling bad. Acutally, she's been feeling bad since the night before. So she asked her grandmother to take her to the hospital. I haven't heard from her and I'm getting kind of worried. I don't know whether it's okay to mail her ケイタイ or not. God, I hope she's feeling better.
So... I finally know exactly where I will be spending the next year. I will be an ALT at 魚津市立西部中学校. I didn't get this information from my predecessor(still waiting to hear from him), rather from another ALT in the area. "Where is this school?" you may ask. I've taken the liberty of looking it up on a map. Also, I found the school's website and a picture of my school.

I can't wait to find out more information about where I'll be living. I especially want to have a look at the apartment where I'll be living. もっと我慢して待ちます.

Here's a shot of the rain clouds rolling in. Miami's weather has sucked for the past couple of weeks. There has only been about a day or so where it hasn't rained. Even then it was super cloudy or super hot. It kinda makes you wanna stay home and not do anything.
The worst thing about this kind of weather is that I haven't been able to go to the beach. Those who know me know that I love the beach. It sucks that I can't go and lay out in the sand and relax. Even if the sun were to come out today(which is doubtful), if I go to the beach, the sand will be soggy and nasty. Eiww. A look at the forecast shows that it's gonna be a while before the sun comes out again in Miami.

Since I'm going to be moving to Japan in a little over a month, I've decided to keep somekind of record of my 'adventures.' I guess I'll start by talking about myself.
I'm 23 and just graduated from university. I double majored in International Business and Asian Studies. I also got a Japanese Language certificate. I've lived in Miami all of my life. I love to go to the beach and play volleyball. And I have an awesome girlfriend that I'm head over heels in love with. She is sweet, smart and funny... and I know she'll be reading this so, there aren't enough nice things I can say about her.
In August, I will be another ALT entering Japan thru the JET Program. I found out that I will be in 富山県魚津市. It wasn't really any of my choices, but hey, I was an upgraded alternate so I'm happy with that. I just wish it could've have been a closer placement to my g/f. She's in 名古屋. It's a bit of a trip for us to see eachother. I just keep telling myself, it's closer than Miami.
I still don't know where I'll be living or where I'll be teaching. I haven't gotten any info from my Contracting Organization or predecessor. I'm just waiting patiently. I do know that I'll be packing some winter clothes cuz I know it gets coooold in 富山. And since I've only seen snow once in my life, I'm not so sure what I'll need. But I can't wait to learn how to snowboard! :)
I've never been one to keep up with things like a blog, so I hope that I will update this frequently. Until then, Peace!
