apartment hunting...

we went out looking for a new apartment this weekend. actually it was only sunday that we looked around together. i must say, there are some assholes out in the working world and i think that maybe my time in japan has changed me cause it used to be that i would call someone out for being an asshole and just walk out of said store/establishment. but the details of my lone adventure will be kept to myself.

sunday was a more productive day. we found a few prospects but just our luck, we weren't able to look inside the actual apartments. the places we did get an inside look at were either a little too far out of the way or just not as pleasing as the pictures we were shown at the real estate offices.

in total we visited about 7 real estate offices this weekend. three of the places had the assholes and the rest were okay. the last one we went to, however, was particularly good. it had the friendliest staff (who didn't make appearance-based judgments) and the best selection of apartments. we're hoping that sometime this week we'll be able to check out the inside of the apartments we didn't get to see. i've got my fingers crossed.

Hmm...

I think I kinda got in trouble at work today. I got a mildly strong worded mail warning me to be careful about something that I don't really remember doing.
But yeah, I had a feeling that today was gonna be one of those days. You know those really slow days at work when there isn't anything to do so you end up cleaning your desk, and 10 minutes before you get to go home something pops up? I'm thinking it's gonna be like that.

i could swear that i said i would work on updating this thing more often. and after a year and a half, here is my latest post. whoops.

not much has changed other than the fact that i'm married now. other than that, it's same ole same ole.

i am in the middle of looking for a new apartment. the current one is a bit small for two even though we've toughed it out for over a year. it would be nice to have a nicer place. in the 2+ years living here, i haven't invited anybody to come over and just hang out. the next place i move into i want to be more... accommodating ;)

happy belated birthday to me...

i had an awesome birthdyweekend. saw cirque du soleil's "zed" from fantastic seats and had a delicious dinner. the only bummer is that it rained so we didnt make it to tokyo disney.

My first new post in about 7 months. Even though I promised myself I would write more often, I didn't. Guess I just suck that way.

so yeah. i went to the capoeira class last sunday. i must say, it was cooool. im gonna try and make it a regular thing and go twice a week. it's cool cuz the classes are in kichijoji which is like a 10-minute train ride from my place. the people there were really cool and friendly which made me feel better since i really don't know any new people since coming to tokyo.

wowee wow! it's been almost 3 months since my move. things are going cool.. i think i've finally gotten used to my job.

now i just gotta find something to do during the weekends so i won't be stuck at home. i found a capoeira class pretty close to where i live and i was thinking of checking it out today. i was really excited about going but, it's just been pouring all day today. typhoon. it's supposed to rain thru the night. luckily, there is another class tomorrow so i think i'll just check that one out. plus, the weather is supposed to pull a 180 and be awesome tmw.

i've never done capoeira but it looks like kick-ass fun.
